Immunizations

So...today Addi had her 4 month check up! AND got her shots :-( Bummer. I hate putting my child through pain like that...even though it only lasts a few minutes, it completely breaks my heart to hear her cry because i'm inflicting pain on her. But then I remind myself that it's what's best and will make her feel better in the long run....plus even though she cried really hard, she really only cried for like 5 mintues. :-)

Now for some updates...she weighed 14 lbs. 3.8 oz. 25 inches long. She's moved to the 75th percentile for height, down from 95th percentile 2 months ago. Which I guess is totally normal, apparently they have a rapid growth spurt then it kinda levels off by now. Dr. Doan says that based on her info now he's predicting her to be about 5'9"-5'10" tall!!! Hopefully that's true so she'll grow into those big ole feet of hers!! Haha...just like her mama!

Let's see what else....hmmm..she's in the 63rd percentile for her weight. Her head gained 1 inch since her last apt...not sure what that means but for now we'll just go with that it makes her really really smart!! ;-) He did a few normal tests on her and showed me a few things like how to help her learn how to roll over so she doesn't get so frustrated and also how to roll back once she's on her tummy. Dr. Doan always has the coolest tricks!! He said that overall she looks great, physical & mental development is right on for her age. She was of course a total flirt like always giving him tons of smiles and coo's which def impressed him!! Oh yea and he also said that we can start introducing solid foods like rice cereal! Pretty soon it'll be smashed carrots and green beans! Ummm yummy!

So alittle Baby Tylenol, 3 tiny band aids, and lots of TLC later....our baby girl is a-ok! Ok well, until next time...Have a FANTABULOUS Monday!!
